In Dr. Tackett's words:
"This is Joel. He is sitting next to his wife, Esther. He is fourth from the right. Joel is a deep thinker who will often take you outside of the box. When he speaks, it is wise and prudent to listen for there is something of great value. Hiss questions are always thought-provoking. Joel has a great heart for the Lord. I love being around him."
Tour 5 Student Cameo, Joel
Joel Allen grew up in a Christian home, served in the military while traveling widely, and later recommitted his life to Christ after a season of living for himself, convinced Jesus pursued him with love and zeal. After leaving the military, he studied theology at Oxford University to deepen his understanding of a biblical worldview, where he met his wife Esther and began building a family (one son with another on the way). He says the experience clarified God’s “end game” for His people: to be fruitful as His agents and cultivators in the world. Joel admits he has often avoided engaging his neighbors, and he feels convicted to become more available, welcoming, and intentional about relationship. He concludes that the enemy pushes people toward fear and “going big,” but real influence comes through loving neighbors and forming deep relationships with a few that can multiply fruitfulness for generations.
