Post-Tour: Epoch and Lead Crystal Spheres

Many people have asked about the lead crystal spheres that we are using in the classroom as a visual representation of the epochs of God’s meta-narrative. The word “epoch” means an era or period of time. But in God’s meta-narrative, these epochs begin with extraordinary events that have eternal ramifications. In our next tour, we will look at the first “epoch” that we call “Creation." Certainly, it was begun with the extraordinary events of God creating the heavens and the earth and all that is in it, including man. But that event has eternal ramifications, for we are still His creatures, made in His image, and the heavens and the earth still declare His glory. 

We searched all over for someone to make these spheres for us. It wasn’t easy and we struck out a lot. But then the Lord gave us a most marvelous craftswoman, Marianne, in Nybro, Sweden. Each one is really a beautiful work of art. The picture below is the one for Redemption.
