Pre-Tour Reflection: Pondering This Kind of Love

Here is our definition again for true agape, chesed love: A steadfast, sacrificial zeal that seeks the true good of another.

What kind of a love is this, that someone would have a steadfast, sacrificial zeal that sought my shalom?

What would if be like, if someone had that kind of love for you?

What would it be like, men, if you had this kind of love for your wife?

What would it be like, ladies, if you had this kind of love for your husband?

It’s not as hard to think of parents having this kind of love for their children, but for those of us who still have parents, what would it be like if you had this kind of love for your mom and dad?

In our next tour, we are going to ponder what it would be like in our culture if Christians began to have this kind of true agape love for those in the culture around them.

I suppose it would change everything.
